Greg kills her with her piccolo, before discovering about the cameras in the school. Greg tracks down the person and discovers it to be Annabelle Grier, someone he used to play with in band. Greg receives threats from someone who knows about the killings. Greg proceeds to kill him and opens the door, calling it a suicide. Greg sneaks outside and climbs through the window of his office, where he finds that Roy has been hoarding supplies from the survivors. The next day, Greg awakens and finds that most of the survivors are banging on the door to Vice Principal Roy's office. He also violently kills Tevin Bartleman with a globe for beating him up. Birch for giving him a failing score on a test he took before the infection began. Greg realizes that he can now take revenge on anyone who wronged him and he kills Mrs. During the fight, Greg smashes his neck with a locker door, accidentally killing him, but because no one saw him, he says that there is someone killing survivors. Greg's opponent is one of the Mingo kids, but Pete Hosey kills him with a ruler and fights with Greg.
Greg is heckled by another prisoner, Pete Hosey, and Greg is caught by Albert Sandy, who blackmails Greg into fighting in his underground fighting ring. Greg is hailed as a hero and at night, he sneaks into the room with the cages and tries to talk to Rowley, but Rowley wants nothing to do with him. Greg thinks about asking Rowley to be released, but doesn't.

Greg is caught by Alex Aruda, who decides to set Greg free for taking down someone who already killed two people. Greg manages to stab Maddox's eye with a urinal flusher handle and then kills him by kicking his head into a urinal. Greg takes the key and unlocks his cage, and then chases after Maddox into a bathroom, where Maddox attacks him. He gives Abigail a Glasgow smile with the key, and after finally killing her by smashing the back of her head open with a LEGO, escapes, dropping the key. Bryce Anderson and Abigail Brown come into the room and Bryce tries to strangle Maddox through the bars as revenge for an incident that Greg is oblivious to, but Maddox smashes the side of Bryce's head with a LEGO brick and steals his key, which he then jams into Bryce's throat and unlocks the cage. Greg and Rowley, after being healed, are locked in cages along with other students, including Maddox, who Greg is surprised to see. Alex Aruda places them under lock for destroying them for one of the survivor's vans, and blames them for Chirag's death at the hands of Patty earlier. After killing Patty Farrell and being stabbed, a bleeding Greg and Rowley are ambushed by infected citizens, only for the citizens to be killed by Holly and Heather Hills, who take them back to the school.
